Apex Trader Funding (Austin, TX; founded 2021) is still one of the highest-volume futures prop brands in the U.S. market. After the March 2026 “All New Apex” restructure, the honest pitch is no longer “whatever old Twitter thread said about 80/20 and same-day everything.” The current story is:
One-step evaluations
EOD and Intraday drawdown paths
Aggressive sale pricing (right now: code PROFIT = 90% off evaluation)
Performance Accounts (PAs) with a 100% payout split, max six payouts per PA, and a 50% consistency rule on funded accounts
Current promo: Buy the evaluation with code for list price via our tracked affiliate checkout: . Confirm the discounted line item before you pay. Activation fees still apply when you move to a PA.
Apex is a real, high-volume futures prop firm with years of public operation, large Discord presence, and constant promotional volume. “Legit” does not mean “easy to cash out every dollar you print in a week.” PA eligibility, consistency, qualifying days, Safety Net, and the six-payout cap are the real product.
EOD trailing drawdown: floor updates from end-of-day balance. Intraday excursions matter less if you close the day clean. This is the path most traders should default to if they let winners breathe.
Intraday trailing drawdown: unrealized peaks can move the trail before you bank the trade. Harder for volatile NQ/ES styles that give back open P&L.
Older marketing that pretends Apex is “static only” is incomplete. Static-style offers appear in promotions sometimes — verify at checkout.
Weekend holding: not allowed — flatten by Friday afternoon (CT close conventions)
Hedging: not allowed
Scalping / news / EAs: generally allowed within Apex’s restricted-practice list
Trading day: resets around 6:00 PM ET
Instruments: broad CME futures set (ES, NQ, CL, GC, micros, many more) plus listed crypto futures on some feeds; Apex is futures-first, not a forex CFD shop
Max concurrent PAs: up to 20 (popular with multi-account operators)
Platforms / data: NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, WealthCharts, Rithmic; choose Rithmic, Tradovate, or WealthCharts data. NT license and real-time data fees are included on common Rithmic packages

Total cost honesty: evaluation sale price + activation fee is the real entry to a funded PA. A $34.90 eval on a $50K still needs ~$119 activation when you pass. Model both.
Current promo: If you are buying an Apex eval this week, use PROFIT — checkout with 90% off — then budget the activation fee before you celebrate.
Apex’s commercial appeal is payout aggressiveness with constraints:
Profit split:100% to the trader on tracked PA policy language
Cap:maximum 6 payouts per Performance Account, then that PA closes and you qualify another via a new evaluation
Consistency:50% rule on PA — no single day ≥ 50% of total profit since last approved payout
Qualifying days: weekly cadence after 5 qualifying trading days, each hitting the size’s minimum daily profit
Safety Net: drawdown + $100 (example: $26,100 on $25K) must be maintained for the life of the PA
Payout caps scale by size and payout number (example class: $25K often capped near $1,000 per request early; larger sizes scale toward higher caps across payouts 1–6)
Methods: ACH, Wire, PayPal
Minimum request: about $500 on tracked policy
Processing: weekly review; transfer timing depends on method
Do not sell yourself the fantasy of “print $20K in one day and withdraw it all tomorrow.” Consistency + Safety Net + per-payout caps exist specifically to stop that.
Is Apex Trader Funding legit in 2026?
Yes — it is an established U.S. futures prop brand with a large trader base. Legitimacy does not remove PA consistency, Safety Net, or six-payout limits.
What does code PROFIT do?
On our tracked promo, PROFIT is 90% off the evaluation fee. Activation fees are separate. Always confirm the discount appears before you pay: Apex affiliate link with PROFIT.
Is there a consistency rule?
On Performance Accounts, yes — 50% consistency since last approved payout. Do not assume “no consistency” from older marketing about evaluations alone.
How many payouts can I take per PA? Six. Then that PA is done and you qualify another via a new evaluation if you want more cycles.
Can I hold trades over the weekend?
No. Flatten for the weekend.
Which drawdown type should I pick?
Default to EOD unless you fully understand intraday trail mechanics and still prefer that product.
Apex remains the best value lever in futures prop trading when a deep code like PROFIT is live — if you accept activation fees, PA consistency, Safety Net, and the six-payout cycle as the real rules of the game. It is not the calmest education brand (that is still Topstep), and it is not the zero-activation multi-path product (Tradeify). It is the firm you pick when capital access cost and multi-PA scale matter more than brand polish.
