TradeDay is a Chicago futures prop (est. 2020) built around a first-class choice at signup: Intraday vs End of Day trailing drawdown, then a second choice: Quick Pay vs Fast Pass. The platform story is narrow on purpose — Tradovate (and Tradovate data). If you need Sierra / MultiCharts first, this is the wrong firm.
Targets, drawdowns, and position limits are the same dollars on Quick Pay and Fast Pass (official Fast Pass article: they "mirror Quick Pay"). All Fast Pass drawdowns are EOD. Quick Pay lets you pick Intraday or EOD on the eval.
Official Quick Pay article (modified July 22, 2026):
5 minimum trading days (if you hit the target early, keep trading)
30% consistency (no single day > 30% of total profits)
One risk rule: do not hit max drawdown
No activation fee; resets available
After pass: Funded Sim uses intraday drawdown regardless of eval choice
No milestones, no funded consistency, no payout buffer
First payout after one funded day; min $250; requests before 5:30pm processed next business day (article uses 5:30pm; payout-policy article says 5:30pm ET in one line and CT in another — PENDING / confirm timezone on the live article)
80/20 if current profit is above $4,000and the payout leaves more than $4,000 in current profit
Mixed split if a single request crosses the $4,000 line (official $6,000 → $3,000 request example: $1,600 + $500 = $2,100 received)
TMD on Quick Pay Funded Sim is intraday and based on gross profits (current profit + payouts). Taking payouts does not stop the trail.
Path to live: review at $10,000 gross profit. Stop trading. Excess above $10,000 is removed and not payable. Most reviews move to Funded Live (90/10). Max 5 Funded Live accounts. Lose a live account → 3-month cooling-off.
Dedicated Fast Pass article (modified Aug 9, 2026):
Eval drawdown: EOD only
Consistency: 45% (no single day > 45% of total profits)
Official line: "There are no minimum trading days in the evaluation" and "you can pass in 3 days"
Conflict: an older combined objectives article still lists Fast Pass as "3 Minimum Trading days." We lead with the dedicated Aug 9 Fast Pass article and tell you to confirm the dashboard. We are not deleting the conflict.
Fast Pass Funded Sim (official):
Same EOD trail as the eval
No milestones, no buffer
Position limits start lower and scale: 2 / 3 / 4 contracts on 50K / 100K / 150K (or 20/30/40 micros), +1 contract per $2,000 profit, EOD
Payout needs: balance above start, net profit since last payout, 5 profitable days (not necessarily consecutive), min $250
Caps at 50% of account balance, plus a hard ceiling
Split: 80/20 on Funded Sim
After payout, do not resume until paid; next Day 1 starts the following session (official Wednesday 7pm CT example)
First payout: if trailing DD has not reached start, it jumps to starting balance and stays fixed
Fifth payout request → Funded Live (sim closed; live opens at $0 with same EOD DD and starting size caps)
July 26, 2026 grandfathering (still on the Aug 9 article):
Opened before July 26, 2026
Opened on/after July 26, 2026
Funded Sim consistency
None
45% of total gross profits (current + payouts)
Payout cap 50K
$2,000
$1,500
Payout cap 100K
$2,500
$1,850
Payout cap 150K
$3,000
$2,250
If your Fast Pass account is pre-July 26, those looser funded rules still apply per official help. New purchases get the tighter column.
Fast Pass Funded Live buffer example (official $50K): TMD $1,500, start at $0, floor starts at −$1,500. Grow to $2,000 to clear buffer; floor locks with a +$500 slippage buffer. Balance cannot touch $500. Live withdrawals 90/10. Max 5 live accounts. Same 3-month cooling-off if you lose live.
Official help: no activation fee; monthly subscription cancels the day you are funded; Funded Sim has no market-data fee; Funded Live pays CME professional data (article: $156/month per exchange + Tradovate $2 card fee — confirm live, CME sets data fees).
Traders who need 90% from dollar one on sim (Quick Pay starts 50/50)
Overnight holders
Anyone who will buy Fast Pass thinking it is "easier Quick Pay" — funded Fast Pass has 5 green days, scaling size, and (post-July 26) 45% funded consistency
Beginners who will blow the $10,000 Quick Pay live-review threshold by trading through it
Is TradeDay legit?
It is a multi-year Chicago futures brand with a public help center. Our status is PENDING. Legitimacy is not a 90% sim split on day one.
Does Fast Pass still grandfather July 26, 2026 accounts?
Yes — the Fast Pass article modified Aug 9, 2026 still publishes separate funded consistency and cap tables for accounts opened before vs on/after that date.
Is there an activation fee?
Official: no.
Which should I buy?
Quick Pay if you want 5-day / 30% eval and faster first funded withdrawal (with 50/50 on the first $4k). Fast Pass if you want EOD-only and will accept funded green-day gates — and you know which July 26 column you are in.
TradeDay is a Tradovate + drawdown-choice firm, not a multi-path Lightning shop. Quick Pay is the adult product if you can live with intraday funded trail and a 50/50 first slice. Fast Pass is only "faster" on the eval; funded it is a 5-day / cap / (new accounts) 45% consistency machine, with a live conversion on payout five. Read the Aug 9 Fast Pass article before you pay.
