Affiliate disclosure: PropFirmElite may earn a commission through links. We do not currently have a tracked FTMO affiliate URL. That does not change the research. We summarize published Trading Objectives, catalog SKUs, and official FAQ language — not hype.
FTMO (FTMO s.r.o., Prague, Czech Republic; operating since 2015) is a long-running forex and CFD evaluation brand. You buy a Challenge, pass Trading Objectives, complete identity steps, then trade an FTMO Account for a share of simulated profits paid as rewards. Every official page we fetched repeats the same framing: accounts are demo accounts with fictitious funds. That is not a footnote. You are not depositing client money at a broker.
Buy FTMO if you want a Prague-based FX/indices/commodities/crypto CFD shop on MT4 / MT5 / cTrader, a structured 2-Step (or newer 1-Step) evaluation, weekend holding and EAs where the product allows, and a mature education stack (Academy, Performance Coaches, App Suite).
Skip FTMO if you need CME futures first — NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic, micros/minis as the primary product. Our catalog marks futures: false. FTMO’s nav now includes Futures Beta. That is a separate, unfinished catalog on their side. We do not invent futures fees, drawdown, or contract lists for it.
No currentPromo is stored on our FTMO JSON. We are not inventing a code or an affiliate URL. The official site currently markets a 20% off $100K 1-Step special on the pages above — treat that as PENDING / confirm at checkout. We did not observe a public code string, so we will not mint one.
We are not publishing a PropFirmElite star scorecard. Official comparison-table marketing (same fetch) cites 4.8/5 Trustpilot, “4.5M+ customers,” and “$650M+ paid in rewards.” Those are FTMO’s own claims, not our ratings.
FTMO Challenges and FTMO Accounts are demo / simulated. Rewards are a share of simulated profits, not a withdrawal of brokerage client funds. The fee is a service cost for the evaluation and tooling. It is not a deposit.
If a social post sells “FTMO funded you with real $100K,” that is marketing shorthand colliding with the legal product. Plan cashflow around rewards, identity review, and the live client-area schedule — not around a broker cash account.
Official comparison table (2026-09-01): 2 phases, profit Phase 1 10% / Phase 2 5%, max daily 5%, max loss 10% static, min 4 days, unlimited time, rewards up to 90%, Best Day —, refund Yes 100%, account types Standard + Swing, starts from €89.
Official Trading Objectives for 2-Step (same fetch):
Profit target: 10% of Initial Simulated Capital on the Challenge; 5% on Verification. Closed-balance test — all positions closed. No profit target on the subsequent FTMO Account.
Maximum Daily Loss:5% of Initial Simulated Capital. Limit = midnight CE(S)T balance minus that 5%. Equity (balance + open P/L ± swaps − commissions) cannot drop through the limit.
Maximum Loss:10% static from Initial Simulated Capital. On a $100,000 example, official floor is $90,000.
Minimum Trading Days: at least 4 days on both Challenge and Verification. A trading day is any CE(S)T calendar day on which at least one position is opened. Holding a swing from Monday to Wednesday without opening on Tuesday does not credit Tuesday.
Time: unlimited on the official comparison table.
Official How it Works $100,000 2-Step example: hit $10,000 on Challenge without exceeding $5,000 daily or $10,000 max loss; then 5% ($5,000) on Verification with the same risk limits.
These are the sizes we seed. Official EUR “starts from €89” is a different currency / checkout line. Confirm the live invoice. refundable: true on every row below.

Phase-2 Verification target is 5% of initial simulated capital on the official objectives page (the catalog profitTarget dollars above are the 10% Challenge line). Do not treat the catalog target column as the Verification number.
We do not seed 1-Step SKUs. We will not invent a $10K–$200K 1-Step price grid.
Official comparison table (2026-09-01): 1 phase, profit target 10%, max daily 3%, max loss 10% end-of-day trailing, min days —, unlimited time, rewards 90%, Best Day Rule 50%, refund —, account type Standard only, starts from €79. Confirm checkout — FX conversion and any live $100K 1-Step discount can move the line item.
Official Trading Objectives for 1-Step (same fetch):
Profit target:10% of Initial Simulated Capital, all positions closed. Official $100,000 example: $10,000 / pass balance $110,000. No profit target on the FTMO Account after that.
Maximum Daily Loss:3% of Initial Simulated Capital, recalculated at 00:00 CE(S)T from that midnight balance. Official $100,000 Day-1 floor: $97,000. If you close Day 1 at $102,000, Day-2 floor is $99,000 ($102,000 − $3,000). Equity (open P/L included) cannot print through the floor.
Maximum Loss:10% end-of-day trailing. Recalculated at 00:00 CE(S)T from the highest prior midnight balance (or Initial Simulated Capital if higher) minus 10%. The floor only rises, never falls. Official $100,000 Day-1 floor: $90,000. If midnight balance reaches $104,000, next day’s floor is $94,000 and stays there if the following midnight is lower. Official copy: after a Reward and a new FTMO Account, the trailing floor resets to 90% of Initial Simulated Capital.
Best Day Rule (50%): Best Day closed profit must be ≤ 50% of Positive Days’ Profit (sum of closed P/L on profitable days). Exceeding 50% is not an account breach — you keep trading until the best day is 50% or less of that sum. Official example: +$10,000 / −$2,000 / −$2,000 / −$2,000 / +$6,000 → Positive Days’ Profit $16,000, Best Day 62.5%, so Positive Days’ Profit must reach $20,000 if that $10,000 day remains the peak.
Min days: comparison table shows a dash. Do not import the 2-Step four-day rule onto 1-Step.
Refund (do not mix with 2-Step): Official comparison table lists 1-Step refund as —. Official FAQ Is the entry fee refunded? (fetched 2026-09-01) states the 1-Step entry fee is not refunded. 2-Step: the fee may be refunded with the first Reward, via the initial payment method. We are not claiming a 100% 1-Step fee refund.
Swing: Official FAQ — Swing is not available on 1-Step. Standard only.
Swing is an account type on 2-Step, not a separate profit-target product.
Official FAQ (2026-09-01):
Evaluation (1-Step or 2-Step, Standard or Swing): news-window and overnight/weekend flatten rules do not apply. You may hold overnight and over the weekend, and you may trade news, provided you stay out of Forbidden Trading Practices.
FTMO Account, Standard: flatten shortly before the weekend close, or if a rollover / market break lasts longer than 2 hours. News: 2 minutes before through 2 minutes after selected releases, you may not open or close trades (including SL/TP fills) on targeted instruments. Positions opened more than 2 minutes before may stay open; an SL/TP that fires inside the window is still a breach. Non-targeted pairs can still trade (official NFP example: EURGBP/AUDNZD ok; USDJPY/GBPUSD not). Restricted events are marked on FTMO’s Economic Calendar.
FTMO Account, Swing:no news-window restriction and no overnight/weekend flatten restriction on the FAQs above.
Catalog flags (weekendHolding: true, newsTrading: true, eaAllowed: true) describe the permitted-strategy layer we seed. They do not erase the Standard FTMO Account news window or weekend flatten. If you need funded weekend holds, you want 2-Step + Swing — confirm that toggle at checkout.
Official Maximum Daily Loss and Maximum Loss language uses equity: Balance + open P/L ± swaps − commissions. A floating loser can fail the account before you close it.
Daily floors recompute at 00:00 CE(S)T from balance, not from the worst intraday equity print of the prior session. That is still not “only closed P/L counts.” If you are −4.9% closed and −0.3% open on 2-Step, you are through the 5% daily limit.
2-Step max loss is static (initial capital minus 10%). 1-Step max loss trails up from peak midnight balances. Do not bring a 2-Step static mental model into a 1-Step ticket.
Official How it Works + comparison table + catalog payoutInfo:
2-Step FTMO Account: rewards up to 90% of simulated profits. Official How it Works and comparison table: 100% refund of the initial fee with the first reward withdrawal. Official FAQ softens the verb to may be refunded, via the initial payment method. Catalog rows we track are refundable: true. Confirm the live FAQ before you treat the fee as prepaid inventory.
1-Step FTMO Account: official How it Works: reward is 90% of simulated profits. Comparison table: 90% (not “up to”). No 100% fee-refund claim on that table (dash) and official FAQ says the 1-Step fee is not refunded.
No profit target on the FTMO Account beyond your own, on both products — risk limits still apply continuously.
Catalog profit split:90. Catalog minimum reward:$100. Methods we store: Bank Wire, Crypto, plus “other methods listed in the FTMO account area.”
Cadence: our catalog does not pin a calendar-day payout SLA. Official How it Works says you request withdrawals using approved methods. Confirm the current client-area cycle; we will not invent “every 14 days.”
Scaling Plan and Premium Programme exist on official Grow nav and How it Works. We are not printing an invented scale table. Confirm those pages if you are buying for a multi-year ladder.
After you pass, official How it Works still requires Identity Verification and consent to the FTMO Account Agreement before you are an FTMO Trader. 1-Step How it Works mentions a review that “typically takes 1–4 business…” (sentence truncated on the public FAQ teaser). Confirm the live “I have successfully passed” FAQ — do not plan a same-hour reward.
Catalog platforms: MT4, MT5, cTrader. Official pages we fetched also market TradingView execution via an OANDA Broker Profile. Treat TradingView as confirm-on-official-page — it is not in our seeded platform array.
Catalog trading-rules flags: weekend holding true, news true, EAs true, scalping true, hedging true. Official hours language: 24/5 CFD sessions; daily-loss math references midnight CE(S)T. Commission/spread is symbol- and platform-specific on official copy — we are not inventing a $ / lot table.
Free Trial practice accounts are listed in our catalog features and on official CTAs (“as many Free Trials as you need”). Use one before you pay.
Official nav includes Futures Beta (Futures Overview / Pricing / How Futures Work / Trading Objectives). Our catalog still has instruments.futures: false and no futures account sizes. We will not invent CME contract lists, trailing math, or fees for that beta. If you came here for ES/NQ, start at plan-fit or a futures firm page — not this CFD review.
Scenario A — You want static max loss and a documented fee refund path
Buy 2-Step $100K (catalog list $540). Challenge $10,000 / Verification $5,000. Daily floor $5,000 (5%), static max $10,000. Four opened-position days per phase. Pick Swing only if you will hold funded over the weekend or through restricted news. Confirm EUR/USD checkout vs our USD list.
Scenario B — You want one phase and will respect a tighter daily + Best Day
Buy 1-Step. Official starts from €79 — we do not have the $100K 1-Step list fee. Target 10%. Daily 3%. Max loss 10% EOD trail. Best Day 50%. Standard only. Official FAQ: fee not refunded. If the site still shows 20% off $100K 1-Step, confirm the discounted line at checkout. No code on our side.
Scenario C — You need CME micros on Ninja
Skip FTMO’s CFD Challenge. Futures Beta is not a substitute we will price. Use plan-fit.
Scenario D — You think the $540 is a deposit
Skip every prop firm until that sentence is gone. The fee is tuition for a simulated evaluation.
Are FTMO accounts real funded brokerage accounts?
No. Official site: demo accounts, fictitious funds, simulated environment. Rewards are paid on simulated profits after you are an FTMO Trader.
Does PropFirmElite have an FTMO promo code?
No. currentPromo is null. We will not invent one. Official pages (2026-09-01) market a 20% off $100K 1-Step special — confirm at checkout.
What is the 2-Step vs 1-Step difference in one line?
2-Step: 10% then 5%, 5% daily, static 10%, 4 days, Standard or Swing, official 100% first-reward fee refund on the comparison table. 1-Step: 10% once, 3% daily, EOD-trailing 10%, no min-day line, Best Day 50%, Standard only, official FAQ no fee refund.
Can I hold over the weekend?
During the Evaluation Process, official FAQ: yes (Standard or Swing). On a Standard FTMO Account, flatten before the weekend close / long rollover. Swing FTMO Accounts do not have that flatten rule. Confirm the FAQ if they update it.
Can I trade news?
Eval: official FAQ allows it (no Standard window). Standard FTMO Account: 2-minute window on targeted instruments around listed events. Swing: no news-window restriction on that FAQ.
Is Swing available on 1-Step?
Official FAQ: no. 2-Step only.
Do you have a full 1-Step price table?
No. Official comparison table: starts from €79. Confirm checkout. We only seed 2-Step USD list fees.
What platforms are in your catalog? MT4, MT5, cTrader. Official site also markets TradingView via OANDA — confirm live.
What about FTMO Futures?
Nav label: Futures Beta. Not in our SKUs. We will not invent those rules here.
What reward split and minimum do you store?
Catalog: 90 split, $100 minimum. Methods: Bank Wire, Crypto, plus client-area options. Confirm the live withdrawal UI.
FTMO is the default Prague CFD/FX name for traders who want a documented 2-Step (10% → 5%, static 10%, four days) or a tighter 1-Step (3% daily, EOD-trailing 10%, Best Day 50%). The product is simulated. Rewards are real money paid on fake-account P/L. That is the contract. The failure mode is mixing rulebooks: 1-Step trail + Best Day, 2-Step static + Swing, Standard funded news windows, or a futures-beta screenshot that is not the Challenge you bought.
We list 2-Step USD fees. We will not mint a 1-Step grid. We have no tracked deal. If that is enough honesty for you, shortlist it. If you need a coupon and a Ninja DOM, this is the wrong review.
